Now that Mac OS X is the default operating system on all new shipping Macs, Apple has an important new ally in the adoption of Mac OS X for schools and homes with kids. Kids software publisher Knowledge Adventure announced that they’ll develop 10 new kids titles for Mac OS X this year. The new titles includes products ranging from Knowledge Adventure’s JumpStart line to Fisher-Price branded games.
Knowledge Adventure vice president Leslie House said that the company is committed to Mac OS X. “With Mac OS X’s innovative advances, and the enhanced stability and performance of Mac OS X v10.1, we look forward to creating exceptional interactive experiences for kids to learn and play.”
Knowledge Adventure is focused on the publication of curriculum-focused software. Their products are aimed at four key development stages: infant to toddler, preschool to kindergarten, early learners and young adolescents. The company is a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal Publishing.
