Roxio has released the update that Mac OS X-based CD-RW drive users have been waiting for: The company announced that Toast 5 Titanium Updater for Mac OS X is now available for download. The update is free of charge to registered users.
Released in 2001 with support for Mac OS 9, Toast 5 Titanium is the latest edition of Roxio’s enormously popular CD-R mastering software for the Macintosh. The software can burn data or audio, DVD video and data (on supported drives), VideoCD data and other content. Compared with its predecessor, Toast 5 Titanium features a slick interface that’s even easier to use and master.
The company noted plans to release free updates to the other applications included with Toast 5 Titanium like CD Spin Doctor, Audion, iView Media, and Magic Mouse Discus.
To download the update, you need to be a registered Toast 5 Titanium user. If you have the limited version included with a CD burner, you can upgrade for a discounted price. And if you’re on a bandwidth-limited Internet connection, you can order the OS X Toast 5 Titanium upgrade for a nominal fee.
