Apple tonight posted an update for its AirPort wireless Base Station and card. The company is also offering several language updates via the Software Update Control Panel in Mac OS X 10.1.2.
Version 2.0.1 of the AirPort Software includes an updated driver for the AirPort card, as well as new firmware for the original graphite AirPort Base Station. According to Apple, the new driver “improves robustness and prompts for a password when joining a password-protected ‘Computer to Computer’ network.”
The firmware update for the graphite base station provides better connections to some Internet service providers that use Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE).
Apple has also released language support updates for Brazilian, Danish, Finnish, Korean, Norwegian, Swedish and traditional Chinese languages. The updates will install fonts and resources needed to use Mac OS X in those languages.
All of the above mentioned updates are available via the Software Update Control Panel in Mac OS X 10.1.2.
