Lasso Summit 2002 Europe — the upcoming show designed to showcase products and services for the Lasso community, especially in Europe — will be held April 15-16 at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury in London, United Kingdom.
It’s sponsored by
VH Publications, which provides Lasso Web development services for worldwide clients throughout the world, and
MightyData LLC, a company that provides technology design, development and training services.
Bill Doerrfeld, CEO of Blue World, will present the opening keynote address on Monday, April 15, at 9:00 AM. He’ll be showcasing the new Lasso 5 product line. The Lasso product line consists of next-generation Web application server technology targeted to Web developers.
Lasso Summit 2002 Europe will feature presentations by Lasso consultants. To choose speakers, a call for papers has been issued. The theme of the conference is “Memorable Yet Invisible,” the dichotomy that a Web site can be engaging and compelling — using state-of-the-art technology — yet provide a natural and intuitive user interface.
Proposals for Lasso Summit 2002 Europe should be submitted as a 200-word abstract and are due no later than 5 p.m. on Jan. 28. Speakers, if chosen, will be asked to prepare a one-hour presentation including slideshow, sample files and 10-page white paper. Complete information regarding the call for papers is available on the
Lasso Summit Web site.
There’s also a call for sponsors. Sponsorships are US$1,200 and include exposure on the Lasso Summit Web site, in the conference manual and CD-ROM and participation in the Lasso Summit Sponsor Showcase. Complete information about sponsorship opportunities is available on the Lasso Summit Web site.
There’s also a
registration site. Registration fees are $599 through Jan. 28; $699 from Jan. 29 to Feb. 28, and $799 beginning March 1. Breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks are included each day. A special reception will be held for attendees Monday, April 15, from 5-7 p.m.
