If you own an iBook with a 12-inch screen, you may be interested in MCE Technologies’ new Battery Charger for iBook, a dual-bay battery charger capable of charging two Li-Ion batteries simultaneously. However, it doesn’t work with the battery from the new 14-inch iBook, which is physically larger than those of its smaller siblings.
Standard charge time from empty to full for one or two batteries is 2.5 hours, according to Arnold Ramirez, MCE president. Status LEDs on the MCE Battery Charger for iBook indicate “charging,” “full,” and “battery error.” The MCE Battery Charger for iBook is powered by an included universal AC adapter, which allows the charger to be used on any voltage system worldwide. The MCE Battery Charger for iBook has a small form factor and a white exterior finish.
It will cost US$149. Look for it to start shipping Feb. 20.
