Built with Apple’s WebObjects 5, Web Help Desk 5.2 includes support for WebObjects 5.1, an enhanced user interface, enhanced asset management options, new search settings, customizable asset and client fields and optional client self registration.
Web Help Desk uses Java objects to help users manage clients, assets and job tickets. And since it’s written in Java, it can run on any operating system with Java 2 SE installed, such as Mac OS X. (WebObjects is Apple’s application server for Web publishing and enterprise application development).
Web Help Desk 5.2 is available now. Pricing for corporate customers ranges from US$3,000-$7,500, while education/government pricing ranges from $2,000-$5,000. Upgrades are free for all current Web Help Desk 5.x licensees.
