Disney Interactive has announced a new publishing label called Plaid Banana Entertainment. The new label will release games developed by Hulabee Entertainment, the latest effort from Humongous Entertainment founders Shelley Day and Ron Gilbert.
Plaid Banana products have been developed for kids ages three to nine, and focus development on interactive adventures. In March, the first two titles will hit store shelves — Moop & Dreadly in The Treasure on Bing Bong Island; and Ollo and the Sunny Valley Fair.
The agreement calls for Disney Interactive to handle marketing and distribution for Plaid Banana Entertainment titles. Hulabee, meanwhile, will retain creative control over the products.
The companies noted that both new products are Macintosh and Windows compatible. Moop & Dreadly will also be available in a Spanish-language edition.
