Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) IT director John DeMillion recently gave MacCentral information of importance to K-12 educators in PA. “The Apple K-12 situation in Pennsylvania is in a special situation this year, because Apple is not on the normal statewide bid for education,” DeMillion explained.
Accordingly, the CCIU has produced the statewide bid of Apple for this calendar year, he said. “We’re trying to get the word out to educators (since otherwise the impression tends to be that Apple educational purchases are not available in PA, or that they’ve gone out of business, etc).”

Effective January 30, The Chester County School Districts’ Joint Purchasing Board (CCSDJPB), under the auspices of the Chester County Intermediate Unit #24, has awarded Bid #2002-5 to Apple Computer Inc., permitting Pennsylvania educators statewide to purchase Apple equipment, software, supplies and miscellaneous items for the 2002 calendar year.
Any Pennsylvania school district, intermediate unit, vocational-technical school, non-public school, state-approved private school or state-approved charter school in Pennsylvania is eligible to participate.
