Sonnet Technologies — maker of processor upgrade cards, ATA disk controller cards, and other Mac enhancing products — has sliced prices on its full line of Piccolo USB Flash drives and several CPU upgrades.
The company has lowered prices by as much as US$80 on the Piccolo line, which is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 through OS X. Prices are now:

The Crescendo/PCI G3 and G4 line of products runs in all of the following Ma compatible models: Power Mac Series 7300, 7500, 7600, 8500, 8515, 8600, 9500, 9515, 9600; Workgroup Server 7350, 8550, 9650; Daystar Genesis and Millennium Series; Mactell XB-Pro; Power Computing PowerCenter, PowerCenter Pro, PowerCurve, PowerTower, PowerTower Pro, PowerWave; and UMAX J700, S900. Note that the Crescendo/PCI G4 isn’t compatible with PowerCenter, PowerCenter Pro, PowerCurve, and PowerTower.)
Sonnet’s new price tag on the Crescendo/L2 G3 500/1M upgrade is $299.95, which was formerly $349.95. The Crescendo/L2 G3 line of products runs in all of the following system: Power Mac 4400, 5400, 5500, 6400, 6500, 7220; Performa 54xx, 6360, 64xx, Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh (TAM); PowerBase Desktop, Minitower; StarMax 3000, 500; and UMAX C500, C600, C600X
“While the G3 500 is operationally compatible with all of these models, the processor’s speed is technically limited to 10 times the bus speed, so actual performance will be slower on all models except the Power Mac 5500 and 6500 series, as well as the Twentieth Anniversary Mac,” according to Sonnet spokesperson Joy Hsu.
Also, as of Jan. 15, Sonnet cut prices by as much as $100 on the entire line of Crescendo/7200 G3 and G4 processor upgrade cards, as well as on the Tempo RAID66 drive controller card. New pricing on Crescendo/7200 upgrades is:
The Crescendo/7200 line of products is compatible with: the Power Mac 7200, 7215, 8200, and Workgroup Server 7250. The new Tempo RAID66 price is $149.95, compared to $199.95 previously. The Tempo RAID66 drive controller offers bootable hardware striping for the following Macs: Power Mac G3 Blue & White, Desktop, MiniTower, Server, and Power Mac G4 (all models except the Cube).
