Nvidia has been named “Company of the Year” by Dr. Jon G. Peddie and his market research firm Jon Peddie Research (JPR), a technically oriented marketing and management consulting firm.
Nvidia along with IBM, was also recognized as “Segment Leader of the Year” for its technology leadership in 2001, which “resulted in the release of groundbreaking products designed to advance graphics and multimedia technology for the consumer and professional computing markets.”
“Nvidia had an exceptional year and is a sterling example of a technology leader,” said Peddie in announcing the honors. “The company has a solid road map, impressive product lines, incredible customer loyalty and the combined experience of many industry veterans that allowed it to grow and prosper.”
Nvidia and ATI are the graphics chips providers for Apple’s computers.
