Picture Play 1.5, a Carbonized app for creating compositions of many images, is now available from the folks at Crescendo Software.
Picture Play is basically an electronic collage developed using the REALbasic environment from Real Software. You can use it to incorporate multiple images into a single artistic image and add editable text layers as well. Version 1.5 includes interface enhancements, bug fixes and new features.
Translucent rulers are now available if needed and the app can show mouse coordinates and object position. Text Objects are now fully editable so you can change them over time as needed without locking yourself into the initial style and content. Picture Play 1.5 has a bigger zoomable work area with available values of 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600 percent viewing.
Picture Play 1.5 requires Mac OS 8.5 or later, including Mac OS X. You can download it (a 950k file) from the Crescendo Software Web site. The cost is US$14.95 for a single user and $299.94 for a site license.
