There’s a new book by author John Holland designed to help creative professionals transition to Mac OS X.

Contents include: system basics; the new Desktop & Finder; UNIX basics; installation strategy; upgrading critical software from Adobe, Quark, Macromedia, and more; software & hardware compatibility; fonts and font management; networking, file sharing, and security; printing and digital output; and links to several Internet resources.

Holland has over 10 years of experience using the Mac. Recently, he was a featured author in “Mastering Web Design.” Holland founded MacPeople, a San Francisco Bay Area staffing agency specializing in creative professionals.
