Yesterday MacCentral brought readers news that Dantz Development Corp., makers of the Retrospect line of backup products, has begun to charge customers for tech support involving the company’s support staff, either by e-mail or telephone.
Dantz followed up our coverage yesterday with news that may help assuage the concerns of new users or potential customers who are worried about getting stuck when they first set up their Retrospect Server or Backup client. Dantz told MacCentral that new Retrospect customers receive 30 days of free tech support.
Following the 30 days, customers looking for no-cost support are welcome to accesses Dantz’s online resources. Retrospect users and administrators needing further help can either pay for per-incident support, purchase a multiple incident support pack, or sign up for an annual maintenance agreement.
