Aurora Video Systems Inc. today announced that its IgniterRT video editing hardware now supports the Color Correction 3-Way filter in Final Cut Pro (FCP), Apple’s professional digital video editing software.
Aurora Video Systems president Darryl Hock explained that the Color Correction 3-way filter allows imbalances in lighting to be corrected by adjusting color balance, black levels, mids and white levels for each video clip independently. “Now, IgniterRT allows the editor to do this in true real time for all video outputs, with no rendering needed, even when laying to tape.”
Aurora said that IgniterRT is the only video editing hardware that provides true real time effects for FCP in both uncompressed and MJPEG-A compression formats. The solution provides 16-bit resolution with full 10 bit digital output.
New drivers for current IgniterRT users are available for download from the Aurora Web site.
