Roxio yesterday announced the release of Toast Titanium 5.1.2, the latest update to the company’s popular CD mastering software for the Macintosh. Almost immediately thereafter, some users began to report problems with the new update. Those problems have been fixed in a new release of Toast Titanium 5.1.2 that’s now in distribution.
El Gato Software LLC develops Toast for Roxio, and the company’s director of OEM relations recently sent various news resources (including MacCentral) information about the second revision to Toast Titanium 5.1.2. This second revision, now
posted to Roxio’s Web site, fixes the following two issues:
The update aborted during install of the Toast Video CD QuickTime component in certain cases.
The updater improperly deleted the previous version in some cases without installing the new version.
“I sincerely apologize to our users for the inconvenience these defects have caused,” said El Gato’s Adam Steinberg.
