LivePerson, an Application Service Provider (ASP) of technology for online businesses, has launched a Java-based version of their secure chat product for small businesses that serves Mac, Linux, Unix, and Network Stations.
The support of Java platforms in a seamless manner serves to further expand the LivePerson client base, according to Robert LoCascio, CEO of LivePerson. The LivePerson chat technology offers: text-based chat; a proactive view and greet feature; repeat customer identification and history; a chat traffic organizer; editable canned responses; the ability to add chat to e-mail and electronic brochures; multi-operator technology; chat transcripts; and the ability to send visitors directly to the pages they’re looking for, or send HTML commands within the Chat Window.
The LivePerson Java client can be downloaded from the LivePerson Web site. The LivePerson service costs US $89.50 per month, though a free trial offer is available.
