Pumatech, which provides organizations with a suite of enterprise-level software products and services for information delivery, has entered into a licensing agreement with Meetingmaker, the folks behind a real-time, cross-platform group scheduling solution that’s getting Mac OS X compatibility.
Meetingmaker will utilize Pumatech’s Intellisync for Web XML toolkit software to integrate the Intellisync synchronization engine into the new Meetingmaker 7.1 group calendaring and scheduling platform. Intellisync for Web XML is a quick time-to-market solution designed to enable software developers, portals and telcos to synchronize Web-based applications with leading PIM (personal information management) software and mobile devices.
Though the integration won’t affect Mac users drastically (it mainly affects Meetingmaker’s integration with Microsoft Outlook and additional mobile devices), it will impact Palm OS using Mac owners. And the Meetingmaker 7.1 platform will gain tighter integration with enterprise applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes.
And, available later this quarter, the new Meetingmaker 7.1 platform will be a collaborative group calendaring and scheduling solution. Its new features will include a Mac OS X client and server.
