QuickMail and QuicKeys maker CE Software, Inc. today posted the results for its first financial quarter, which ended December 31, 2001. The company noted a net loss of US$162,000 on revenues of $348,000.
While on the surface that may not seem like good news, it’s better than the preceding quarter as well as the company’s year over year results. For Q4 2001, CE Software reported a net loss of $468,000 on operating revenues of $318,000. And for Q1 2000, CE Software lost $186,000 on operating revenues of $494,000.
CE Software president John S. Kirk attributes the company’s improved financial condition to expense reductions implemented during the quarter. He also indicated that the company has successfully executed a refinancing agreement on its building; that effort provided the company with additional working capital to help bring current projects to market.
“QuicKeys X, our automation utility for Apple’s Mac OS X, was welcomed by our customers and the press during the quarter. We are also expecting a favorable response from our just released new version of QuickMail, our all-in-one office e-mail solution,” reported Kirk.
