a new Web site
and new brochures touting that “everything is easier on a Mac.”
The Web site and the small, 16-page brochure (a copy of which this reporter first noted at the Mac Authority store in Nashville, TN) talks about how the Mac is easier for surfing the Web, sending e-mail, sharing files, going wireless, managing digital music, making movies, making DVDs, and organizing/sharing photos. They promote such Apple products and services as Mac OS X, iTools, AirPort, iPod, iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, Final Cut Pro, and DVD Studio Pro, as well as Apple’s hardware line.
The print brochure also has a “Getting Started” section and two pages devoted to “Fact and Fiction.” The latter, similar to the Mac Myths that are being distributed with flyers for the new iMac, addresses four Mac “myths”: everyone uses Windows, Macs don’t work with PCs, there’s a dearth of software for the Mac, and Windows has caught up with the Mac.
Interestingly, neither the Web site, brochure, nor iMac flyer mentions Apple’s long-running “Think Different” slogan.
