Graphics chip maker Nvidia reported record revenues and earnings for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002 and the year that ended Jan. 27.
For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002, revenues increased to US$499.9 million, compared to $218.2 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2001, a jump of 129 percent. Actual net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002 was $73.0 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, compared to actual net income of $31.1 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2001.
Revenues for the fiscal year were $1.37 billion, an increase of 87 percent compared to revenues of $735.3 million for the year that ended Jan. 28, 2001. Actual net income for the year that ended Jan. 27, 2002, was $177.1 million, or $1.04 per diluted share, compared to actual net income of $99.9 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, for the year-ago period.
