The software development firm of HD Industries has released RecEnroll, a tool designed to facilitate registration processes and record-keeping for recreation districts and departments. The recreation program management tool can be hosted on Mac or Windows computers and used by any computer that can launch a Web browser.
RecEnroll lets users register participants; export brochure data to page layout software; display class schedules on the Web; pay instructors; create class rosters and waiting lists; produce administrative reports; track payments; and connect remote offices to the central office using an Internet connection. It’s accessed through any Web browser. Recreation program staff click on links, as they would on any Web site, to navigate the database, according to Lee Hinde, president of HD Industries.
A demo is available from the HD Industries Web site. It requires a PowerPC 7500 or better (a G3 or G4 is recommended), Mac OS 8.6 or higher (a Mac OS X version is in the works), and 64 MB of RAM (128 is recommended). Pricing is: US $4,500 for 1-3 for the first year and $1,125 thereafter; and $6,000 for 4-10 users for the first year (and $1,500 afterward). Ten more users can be added for $3,000 for the first year and, in subsequent years, $750 for each additional group of 10.
