Dartware LLC has announced that the final version of InterMapper Remote 1.0 has been released. The Java-based software enables system managers to remotely view their network in conjunction with Dartware’s InterMapper software.
InterMapper Remote is cross-platform, and runs on Mac OS X, Windows NT/2000 and various flavors of Unix and Linux. When used in tandem with an InterMapper server running on the office network, the software enables you to examine routers, switches, servers and other networking devices from a remote connection. You can then click on devices to see detailed information, or click on links to examine traffic statistics. You can also acknowledge alarms.
Dartware LLC explained that the product is intended for consultants who want to watch their customers’ maps; help desk staff; and network managers working from home or other remote locations, among others.
The software requires InterMapper 3.6 or newer in order to work. Its price is US$199. Educational pricing, support subscriptions and other deals are available.
