Pangea Software has announced the release of a new 1.1 update to its latest Mac-only 3D action game, Otto Matic. The company has also released an updated demo version.
Pangea reported that version 1.1 adds graphics enhancements designed to make use of new hardware from ATI Technologies. Most notably, Otto Matic 1.1 adds support for Truform, a polygon smoothing technology provided exclusively on the new Radeon 8500 card.
Full Scene Anti-Aliasing is also supported, which smoothes the edges of lines. This feature helps the game’s graphics appear less blocky at lower resolutions, and it’s supported both by ATI’s Radeon and the Radeon 8500 card.
“ATI has done an amazing job of supporting the Macintosh over the years. These new features that they have provided us really make Otto Matic look great,” said Pangea president and CEO Brian Greenstone.
