Power On Software has just posted a public beta of its new Mac OS X conduits for Palm OS. The new backup feature should make this everyone’s first choice when it comes to Palm, Robert Leeds, Power On’s vice president of Business Development & Communications, told MacCentral.
The public beta of the Palm conduits for Now Up-to-Date & Contact offer support for native Palm synchronization under Mac OS X. The conduits for Now Up-to-Date & Contact, the personal information manager (PIM), are available for download from Power On’s Web site. And the company has added backup capabilities to the forthcoming release, to ensure that users have peace of mind, knowing that they can revert to their pre-synchronization status, Leeds said.
“The public beta test will permit our loyal users to get a sneak peek at the incredibly tight integration of Now Up-to-Date & Contact with the Palm OS and Mac OS X,” John Wallace, president of Power On Software, said. “It is also an excellent opportunity for new users to get to know Now Up-to-Date & Contact prior to the official release of the new conduits.”
Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4.1.1 is available now, and the new Mac OS X conduits (the final, non-beta version) will be released upon the successful completion of Power On’s testing.
