Taylor Design, a software development and consulting firm, has released a public beta of its TextSpresso text cleaner for Mac OS X.
TextSpresso is a text editing tool designed to simplify text cleaning chores. It comes bundled with filters for common tasks, such as “cleaning” e-mails, sorting lines, extracting URL’s, and converting Mac/PC files. You can also create and share your own filters using any of 10 filter types.
TextSpresso has 100 levels of undo. You can filter text inside other applications using TextSpresso’s Hot Filter feature. And you can filter large groups of files using Batch documents.
During the 2.0 beta testing period TextSpresso will be on sale for US$19.95. Users who register during the beta test at this price will receive a free upgrade to the 2.0 final release.
TextSpresso 2.0b1 is available now from the Taylor Design Web site and is a free upgrade for registered users. Others may download the beta and use it free for up to 30 days.
