Baseview Products noted plans to debut several new versions of its products at next month’s America East trade show, coming to Hershey, Pa. on March 26, 27 and 28.
The company plans to demonstrate new versions of CirculationPro, AdManagerPro, LiveIQue and ProductionManagerPro. It’ll also debut IQueWeb, and demonstration its Baseview Internet Technology Services.
CirculationPro has been redesigned from the ground up to be platform-independent and browser based. It also offers server options including Mac OS X.
AdManagerPro has also been rewritten from the group up; it’s now a series of client/server applications which communicate with SQL databases via TCP/IP. Designed to be database-neutral, the software now “works effortlessly” with FrontBase, according to Baseview. Other databases will also be added.
ProductionManagerPro 1.7 sports compatibility with Multi-Ad Creator 6 (as well as previous versions), QuarkXPress 5, and InDesign 1.5. A new “Find Elements” command has been added, too.
LiveIQue 2.5 is also expected to debut at the show; the new version features Access control, to limit content access to registered visitors only. The software dynamically formats copy and images from a Web site and can import subscriber lists from a circulation system to offer reduced price subscriptions for online subscribers.
IQueWeb will also debut; it’s a WebObjects-based application that provides browser-based access to IQue databases. It enables remote users like reporters and stringers to build new searches, view photos and edit stories from a Web browser.
Baseview Internet Technology Services (BITS) is a collection of online services offered by Baseview that are available either as a la cart items or complete solutions; for content management, banner ad management, classified advertising, a multiple listings service, the UPICKEM sports contests and more.
