EZQuest is shipping its 60GB Cobra Slim FireWire hard drive, which weighs in at .7 pounds and is Mac OS X compatible. The drive has a manufacturers suggested retail price of US$629.
The Cobra Slim operates at 5400RPM, has a 28MB per second transfer rate, a 2 MB buffer and is bus powered. The drive ships with Intech Speed Tools Formatting and RAID Level 0 software, a six-foot FireWire cable, EZ Start Up CD and an optional AC power adapter.
It has a one-year warranty. EZQuest’s Cobra line is designed to offer slim, attractive and fast hard drives, according to Ebrahim Zmehrir, company president.
