Atomik maker Easypress Technologies announced today a partnership with Xyleme News & Publishing developer Xyleme S.A. The two companies are producing a new digital content management system aimed specifically and newspaper publishers.
Xyleme VP of business development Said Amir Milo explained that his company’s solution, paired with Atomik, provides a full solution for newspapers looking to utilize their content in an XML-based environment.
“With Xyleme News & Publishing, journalists, editors and librarians can find and retrieve information from millions of pages, faster, more accurately and with the appropriate granularity. Moreover, it integrates internal and external content into a single homogenous view for both users and applications,” said Milo.
Atomik 3.0 provides a way to repurpose content developed using QuarkXPress into XML, or Extensible Markup Language. Xyleme News & Publishing provides a system to manage, access and retrieve that XML-based content quickly and accurately.
The two companies noted that they are offering free workshops for newspapers and other publishers looking to develop a migration strategy to XML. Experts will be on hand to assess individual companies’ needs and recommend specific migration strategies.
