Adobe has launched a new Web site called Adobe Xchange. The free site is a new location where Adobe users can download and upload add-ons for their Adobe software products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, LiveMotion and more.
You can use the site to download new filters for Photoshop or brushes for Illustrator for example. Tutorial files, extensions, helpers and JavaScripts are available too.
The service already contains more than 4,000 files contributed by more than 180,000 members — it’s part of Adobe Studio, a recently launched learning resource for Adobe software users. Along with Adobe DesignTeam, a subscription-based collaborative service, Adobe Xchange has become the third Web resource launched by the company to help foster and expand use of Adobe products.
Use of the service is free, but users will have to register as Adobe Studio community members.
