If you’re a Mac OS X user, you may have noticed that sometimes disks don’t want to eject. Also, the operating system occasionally reports that a disk is in use when it’s not.
Real Software has a freebie application that solves the problem. REALeject X is a utility for ejecting disks that incorrectly claim they are in use. To view the drives mounted on your machine click on the “List Drives” button after installing the utility.
To eject a disk, just highlight its name in the list and click on the “Force Eject” button. This process may take a few seconds.
