Oki Data Americas Inc. has unveiled a new line of C9000 Series Studio Digital LED Color Printers. The new printers are the first in Oki Data’s product line to have been designed specifically for commercial art and graphics firms looking for high-fidelity color.
The new printers incorporate color-matching standards including Pantone, SWOP, Euroscale and ICC and support TrueType and PostScript fonts. The printers are Mac and Windows compatible. Both printers feature OKI Single Pass Color Technology, which enables the printers to output 21 pages per minute in color and 26 pages per minute in monochrome. Both printers are powered by 400MHz PowerPC processors and can support PCL 5.0c and Adobe PostScript 3.
The printers can output on various types of paper and card stock, including sheets up to 35.4 inches long and cardstock as heavy as 110lbs. The printers also feature 600 x 1200 dot per inch resolution. Oki Data said that the printers have a run rate of 83,000 copies per month, with total toner cartridge capacity rated at 15,000 pages at 5 percent coverage. The printers also include the OkiLAN 6200e Internet Ethernet Print Server, which provides 10/100BaseTX-compatible Ethernet networking capabilities.
The C9200n Studio Edition sports 192MB of RAM standard, with a standard paper capacity of 650 sheets. The C9200n ships standard with Monaco Systems Inc.’s MonacoEZmatch for Oki, a color matching system and features soft proofing through the use of closed loop ICC/ICM.
The C9200dxn Pro Studio Edition sports 320MB RAM and a 5GB hard drive, and can hold up to 2,850 sheets. The C9200dxn Pro Studio Edition ships with iProof Systems’ RIP server.
List price for the C9200n Studio Edition is US$9,999. The C9200dxn Pro Studio Edition runs $13,499.
