Over the weekend MacCentral brought readers news about Bold by Destineer’s updated version of Age of Empires II, the strategy game. Today there’s more news about another fix that will help online gamers.

The new build, version 1.0.4, corrected several problems and made a number of enhancements. Perhaps most notably, a notorious problem was corrected that, in earlier versions, prevented saved multiplayer games from being restored and played.
Unfortunately, online gamers that depend on GameRanger, the Mac-only online gaming service, discovered quickly that there was a problem that prevented the new update to Age of Empires II from working.
Today, GameRanger developer Scott Kevill released an updated version of the plug-in used to help GameRanger users manage their online games. GameRanger users should once again be able to join and create online games of Age of Empires II version 1.0.4.
