Hewlett-Packard has expanded its line of multifunction products (MFPs) with new HP LaserJet MFP business systems that let users print, copy, color scan, fax and digitally send documents to Internet and e-mail addresses.
Targeted to small business, home office and small workgroup users, the HP LaserJet 3300mfp series ranges in price from US$499 to $899. The series is equipped with an engine that prints at 15 pages per minute (ppm) and copies at 14 ppm.
The HP LaserJet 4100mfp is a $3,749 network multifunction product that offers printing, copying, color scanning and digital sending for business workgroups with shared printing and copying needs. It sports a 25 ppm print and copy engine, embedded send-to-email capabilities and optional digital sending software.
Designed to be a high-performance, high-volume network multifunction system, the HP LaserJet 9000mfp — which carries a price tag of $13,995 — is built for large workgroups and departments with shared needs for fast network printing, copying, faxing, embedded send-to-email and robust paper handling, according to Vyomesh Joshi, president, HP Imaging and Printing Systems. It boasts print and copy speeds of 50 ppm and a wide range of document finishing option. An optional digital sending software package expands document management and distribution capabilities.
Developed for architects and engineers, the $299 HP Designjet Copier cc800ps provides in-house color copying, printing and scanning of wide, large-format documents for less than the cost of digital, monochrome alternatives, Joshi said. Compatible with HP Web Jetadmin printer management software and equipped with an embedded Web server for diagnostics and supplies ordering, the HP Jetdirect external print server can link to network printers with USB ports in most Ethernet/Fast Ethernet operating environments.
The HP LaserJet MFPs, software and services are expected to be available beginning March 26 in North America.
