MonkeyByte.com has announced an agreement with Ideas From the Deep to create a new and updated Mac OS version of VistaPro, a 3D landscape creation tool. The new version, 1.3.1, will be upgraded with new features, and the developer noted that there are plans to create an OS X version as well.

Noting that the software has been used by MonkeyByte.com to help develop its own game titles, MonkeyByte.com president Nicolas Murphy said that his company hopes to eventually match the Mac version to its Windows counterpart.
“… we are exceptionally happy that the creator of the program, John Hinkley, has allowed us to re-release this wonderful tool to the Internet,” said Murphy.
