Columbia TriStar Marketing Group president Geoffrey Ammer explained that the trailer is being released exclusively on the Web first to thank the online community for its support and enthusiasm.
The new trailer will feature more visual effects from the movie and shows Spider-Man patrolling the city, using his webshooters, performing aerial acrobatics, and more.
The new movie, directed by Sam Raimi, follows the actions of the popular comic book hero, portrayed on screen by actor Tobey Maguire. He’ll face off against Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin as he tries to protect Mary Jane Watson, portrayed by Kirsten Dunst. Spider-Man swings into theaters on May 3, 2002.
