German Mac game developer and publisher e.p.i.c. interactive today announced that its Mac conversion of Gorky 17 has finally gone gold master, and should be shipping soon.
e.p.i.c. bills Gorky 17 as a mix of three genres — an adventure game, a role playing game, and a strategy game. Set in the near future, the game puts you in charge of a team of military specialists who must infiltrate a Gorky 17 — a long-abandoned replica of an American city built by the Soviet Union to aid its spying efforts during the Cold War.
Gorky 17 was more than just a location for spy training, however — it was also home to the Soviet Union’s most secret military experiments, and is still riddled with hideously deformed creatures that resemble mixtures between humans, animals and insects. It’s up to you and your team to discover what happened at Gorky 17 and put and end to it.
Gorky 17 is designed for Mac OS 9 or X (e.p.i.c. recommends Mac OS X), and requires a G3/300 or faster; 128MB RAM, and a video card with at least 8MB of memory.
