IPNetMonitorX incorporates new implementations of some of the same services built into Mac OS X’s Network Utility. Only IPNetMonitorX’s functions are more responsive, intuitive and visually easier to work with, according to Sustainable Softworks. IPNetMonitorX is also capable of performing functions not available with Mac OS X’s built-in UNIX tools, including an improved Trace Route function with ICMP Trace support; improved Port Scan which adds UDP scan and responsive timeouts for identifying stealth ports; a convenient Lookup, which provides conversion between IP addresses and domain names; Link Rate, which measures the effective throughput of a nearby link, and much more.
The bundle deal combines IPNetMonitorX and IPNetMonitor Classic together for US$40. Users who buy now will be upgraded for free to IPNetMonitorX 1.0 upon release. Registered users of IPNetMonitor Classic can upgrade for $20. You can try it now for 21 days if you download the software from Sustainable Softworks’ Web site.
