Sonny Software announced today the release of Bookends 7, a new version of its Mac-only bibliography/reference and information management system. The new build has been Carbonized, and runs natively in Mac OS 8.6 or higher, including Mac OS X.

Bookends enables users to import references from hundreds of different online sources into a personal database. Add-ins for Microsoft Word and Nisus Writer enable you to create a publication-ready document with a bibliography. The software also enables you to attach files like PDF, pictures, and documents.
You can give Bookends 7 a try before you buy it by downloading a full-featured demo limited to 15 references. The software costs US$99 ($69 for students). Anyone who bought or paid to upgrade to version 6 gets a free upgrade; other users are charged $49.
