Swift 3D is a vector animation application, and it currently exports to the Macromedia Flash (SWF) file format. SWF inherently limits the type of 3D information able to be imported into Flash, according to Electric Rain. The Swift 3D Importer provides a more seamless workflow between Swift 3D and Flash MX, and enables Swift 4D to take advantage of the more powerful features and functionality that Flash MX offers.
Calling Flash MX a powerful design and development application, Electric Rain president and CEO Mike Soucie added, “As Macromedia Flash MX continues to evolve and increase its scope and power, Electric Rain will be positioned to advance Swift 3D in a way that will capitalize on new features in Macromedia Flash MX.”
Electric Rain indicated that the Swift 3D Importer will be accessed through the Macromedia Flash MX menu system.
