File Buddy enables you to view and edit information about files and folders. You can modify names of groups of files, find empty files and folders, perform advanced search functions, rebuild and replace the desktop database, track changes on a disk and more.
File Buddy 7.0 is the first release of File Buddy to provide native support for Mac OS X. It requires Mac OS 10.1, or Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib 1.5 or later. Native support for Mac OS X is at the top of the list of what’s new for File Buddy 7. It supports long file names (even in Mac OS 9), and adheres closely to Aqua appearance guidelines. But there are more enhancements in version 7.0, details of which can be found at the product Web site.
File Buddy 7.0 can be downloaded (it’s an 891k file) from the SkyTag Web site. It’s a US$19.95 upgrade for previous users. Registration of new users is $49.95.
