Apple will be a participant at Streaming Media West 2002. It’s the leading trade event focused on serving the streaming and digital media communities, at it will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from April 23-26.

The show will offer 150 speakers and over 40 sessions addressing streaming in the enterprise, media and entertainment and tools and technology. Conference registration is now open online.
Streaming Media West 2002 will feature the MPEG-4 Forum. In association with the MPEG 4 Industry Forum (M4IF), the program will include a day of sessions dedicated to MPEG-4, the video standard that’s currently involved in licensing issues that are holding up the release of QuickTime 6.
Apple reps will be on hand for, among other things, a segment called “Tips, Tricks & Techniques for Video Compression.” The first 75 minutes of this session will give an overview of some of the codecs available today, including QuickTime.
