The User Group Advisory Board, in association with Macworld Expo, has announced two discounts for Mac User Group (MUG) members to attend Macworld Expo New York for free, or for a substantial savings, depending on the conference package selected.

For a limited time, MUG members can register for a free Exhibit Hall pass (a US $35 value), or take 15 percent off all conference packages. That’s a savings of up to $224, and is available only to User Group members using the User Group Priority Code, according to Chuck Joiner, editor of The MUG Center, an online resource for MUGs. The code is available through your local Apple-recognized MUG leaders.
Conference packages include the Platinum Pass, Super Pass, Macworld/Pro Conference, Macworld/Pro Conference Day Pass, Macworld/Power Tools Conference, 2-Day Macworld/Users Conference, Workshops, and the new Hands-On MacLabs package. The Exhibit Hall pass includes MacBeginnings and Birds of a Feather sessions. By the way the Platinum Pass and Super Pass both now include Keynote VIP seating.
The special offers have limited effective dates. From March 26-April 23, MUGers can take advantage of the free Exhibit Hall pass and 15 percent off the conference packages. From April 24 – June 17, they can get an Exhibit Hall pass for $15 — but still take advantage of the conference packages discount. Complete details are available on The MUG Center Web site.
Macworld New York will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in the Big Apple from July 15-19. The Expo runs July 17-19.
