First, Jiiva, a software development company, has announced Application Builder Collection (ABC) Version 1.2. Application Builder Collection (ABC) is a set of reusable Cocoa frameworks for building Mac OS X applications. ABC is an extension to the Cocoa development tools and kits provided by Apple Computer.
Version 1.2 adds two new user interface elements and polishes up existing elements. It’s a free upgrade for existing customers and is also available for purchase. Pricing for ABC is US$199.99 for a single machine development license. No deployment license or royalties are required. Quantity discounts are available through the online store at store.jiiva.com.
Also, Deep Sky Technologies has released SMTP Deux 1.1.0 for the Mac and Windows. SMTP Deux is a 4th Dimension component that provides a complete implementation of the SMTP protocol. SMTP Deux works on top of the commercial TCP Deux 4D component, which is also available from Deep Sky Technologies.
The SMTP Deux component requires the TCP Deux component, version 1.0.1 or above, to be installed to operate properly. TCP Deux provides TCP functionality needed for the implementation of the SMTP protocol. The SMTP Deux component also requires the BASh component, version 1.6.3 or above. BASh is available from Deep Sky Technologies for free and provides an extensive set of functionality to any 4D based project.
Version 1.1.0 of the SMTP Deux component contains three feature additions. First, SMTP Deux now has full support for NTLM authentication with SMTP servers. Second, new utility routines for sending e-mail have been included. Third, support for 4D v6.8.x is now available in SMTP Deux.
The SMTP Deux component is available for free to all owners of TCP Deux. There are no licensing or deployment restrictions for the SMTP Deux component. The SMTP Deux component can be downloaded by following the link on the Deep Sky Web site.
Finally, MacAppProcess Plugin 1.0.1 has been released. It extends the Application object of REALbasic, the programming language from Real Software. It gives you the app’s name, MacCreator and FolderItem, and allows you to send your app to the front. MacAppProcess Plugin v.1.0.1 is available for download now.
