Details on content and registration will be announced soon, according to Chuck Joiner, editor-in-chief of the MUG Center, an online resource for Mac user groups. User Group University is the one-day seminar for user group leaders. Presentations, panel discussions and speakers from the community teach user group enthusiasts how to be better, more effective leaders, Joiner said.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
Macworld New York will be held July 16-19 in the Big Apple.
