A new Mac technical support site, Mac Help Net, is up and running as of today. The site will offer daily tech news, articles covering topics ranging from 3D acceleration to Mac OS X installation methods, do-it-yourself tutorials, user forums, and a TechFinder engine (coming in June) that lets users find Mac consultants worldwide, according to Dan Deering of Mac Help Net.

“When service outside our help circle becomes critical, the integrated TechFinder engine will be standing by to connect users with a Mac consultant that can resolve escalated issues quickly and painlessly,” he added. “However, Mac Help Net will always encourage the use of AppleCare support when applicable.”
To celebrate the site’s launch, the folks at MacHelpNet are giving away goodies that include a Logitech dual optical USB mouse, one-year subscription to MacAddict magazine, and a Sims House Party Expansion Pack. To be eligible to win, you’ll have to register for the forum. Winners will be chosen on April 11 and notified via e-mail.
