Apple hopes to increase the number of developers using Mac OS X to develop software in the Asian region within the next five years, according to a TechCentral article.
Leon Chen, Apple’s partnership manager for worldwide developer relations in the South Asian region, told TechCentral that he hopes see an approximately 50 percent increase in the number of developers within Malaysia by year’s end (there are now about 250).
Apple recently held a two-day conference in Kuala Lumpur. The conference, in part, was held to spread the word on Apple’s Developer Connection Program. About 50 people signed up for the developers’ track of the conference, which was held at the Putra World Trade Centre, according to TechCentral.
