Kanzu Utilities has announced the release of Image Info 2.0, a major update to their AppleScript image info retrieval solution.

Image Info includes three dozens applets that enable users with or without AppleScript experience to preflight images, find RGB images, find images by IPTC keyword, create HTML image tags, rename EXIF JPEGs to their date, batch process and more. And if you’re an AppleScript maven, you can write any kind of script for Image Info or edit the ones included. The included applets are fully compatible with both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.
Version 2.0 adds the ability to retrieve more info from images than before. EXIF and IPTC data can now be extracted, along with ICC Color Profile info, JPEG comments, layer, alpha channel and clipping path info, fonts, colors and more.
A demo version of Image Info 2.0 is downloadable from Kanzu’s Web site. The software costs US$35. A “Lite” version is also available for $19.
