Digital Technology International’s Shirley Hopkins will be on hand to demonstrate FaceSpan, the application and interface development tool for AppleScript. Hopkins has authored “AppleScripting InDesign” and “AppleScripting QuarkXPress.” Copies of her books will be offered as door prizes during the event.
Also joining the event’s roster is Script Debugger developer Mark Alldritt, of Late Night Software. Scripting Matters Inc. also said that other guests are expected to drop in from Apple itself — more info will be available from the Web site.
The AppleScript potential of Adobe’s newest release of Photoshop, version 7, will be covered during the event. Other scriptable applications covered during the seminars include QuarkXPress, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, BBEdit and FileMaker Pro.
Spread across five days, AppleScript Pro Sessions spends the first day introducing attendees to the world of AppleScript. The remainder of the event looks at scripting real-world applications. Daily bonus sessions focus on demonstrations of scripting-related products.
