Apple’s newly revamped Creative Web site has posted a new article that looks at the company’s SuperDrive. Entitled Inside the SuperDrive, the article focuses on the uses and capabilities of the drive.

Apple has two SuperDrive-equipped products lines: The Power Mac desktop G4 and the flat panel iMac. Targeted towards the professional user, the Power Mac G4 allows creative pros to burn large files on CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD-R disks. Apple provides information in the article on media capabilities, as well as capacities.
With the introduction of the SuperDrive-equipped iMac, DVD authoring is no longer limited to the professional user. In conjunction with Apple’s iDVD software, home users can now build their own DVDs that play on most home DVD players.
