Are you in Maryland or Virginia, and do you want to go to Macworld Expo New York on the cheap this summer? The Washington Apple Pi Mac user group is planning a one-day bus trip to New York City this July to bring folks the Jacob K Javits Center. Two buses are planned, with one living from Maryland and one leaving from Virginia.

The buses will leave on July 18, 2002, in the early morning and returning late in the evening. One bus will leave from the MicroCenter back parking lot located in Vienna, Va., while the other will leave from Rockville Pike and Montrose Road in Rockville, Md.
The price for the trip is US$68 per person. Only paid reservations will have a guaranteed seat on the bus, and the user group won’t process the payments until they have enough people to fill each bus — once that’s done, there are no refunds.
Washington Apple Pi also plans to stop for dinner after leaving New York. As in past years, the group will assemble at Mastori’s Restaurant in Bordentown, New Jersey.
The user group indicated that if the two buses get filled, they have an option to add more — the additional bus or buses would leave from whichever site has the most demand.
Membership in Washington Apple Pi isn’t required, either. If you’re interested in going, please drop an e-mail to jimritz@wap.org with a subject line of YES.
